Kira and Robin are hitched...FINALLY.

I am usually able to keep it together pretty well on the job, I mean I don't usually get too weepy while shooting a wedding. However, these two got the best of me.

This wedding was quite different than those I am used to photographing.

Firstly, it felt more like a holiday than business. I was so lucky to be invited to spend a week celebrating with Kira, Robin, their families and friends on the west coast of Costa Rica at the Occidental Grand Papagayo Resort. It was so great to get to know all the important people in their life.

Secondly, Kira is also a photographer. http://www.kiranelson.com/ She kept saying it felt so weird to be in front of the camera rather than behind it...well it didn't show - she was absolutely stunning. Having dated a photographer for the past ten years, Robin too, knew what he was doing in front of the lens.

Thirdly, the wedding was on a beautiful sandy beach. So I was barefoot!

Thanks for having us you two. All the best, enjoy the rest of your vacation, and Kira, someday you will photograph my wedding and I will be the one feeling awkward in front of the lens.

once upon a time, Adam & Donna got married...

Adam and Donna were married on Tuesday, September 30th, the sixth anniversary of their relationship. Georgie & I were on hand to photograph their great outdoor celebration at the Delta. Afterwards, we raced across the infamous Johnson Street Bridge for some portraits downtown - litterally raced...the second the last member of the wedding party stepped off the bridge, it began to raise. I'm so glad we made it across, the light was awesome, we got so much great variety and the coolest part is that Adam & Donna actually met durring a game of capture the flag in Bastion Square, six years ago! As always, these two, and their entire wedding part were so great in front of the camera and we got so many awesome shots to choose from! Enjoy the preview...
