Mum and Dad's Big Summer Vacation!

Last week my mum and dad flew into Victoria from the praries for a nice little summer holiday. We had such a great visit! I had a fun time doing some no-strings-attached, candid and random photography during our tourist galavanting.

First stop: the inner harbour for some fresh fish & chips, at Red Fish, Blue Fish and some city sights.
Friday was super duper hot in the city, so we decided to go for a Three Hour Sail to beat the heat....well by the time we left the harbour, the sun had disappeared and temperature must have dropped 15 degrees, because we were all bundled up in jackets and blankets for the entire trip. After the boat trip, we went to Mackaully Point for a walk...guess what we saw
...the ship! Thanks for cooperating during the portraits, JW.Now, I don't usually take pictures of flowers. But my mum doesn't come visit very often, either, and she really likes pictures of flowers. So this one is for her. On Saturday, we got up and hit the road real early to catch a ferry to Salt Spring Island. We checked out the amazing local market...along with thousands of others - that Island was PACKED that day! Mum, your portrait with the Emperess Roses didn't make the cut...this one is much nicer.

I recently found some real old, real cheap expired color film, so I got out my film body for a couple days of carefree shooting. I got some neat results from the new [old] medium!
